Jimmy Dushku is North Korea's Only Friend?

So North Korea's Twitter handle (@uriminzok) was hacked today by the hacker group, Anonymous.  This led to several questions.

1. Who are they tweeting to?
I thought the residents of North Korea didn't have access to the internet, much less Twitter and other social channels.  Nevertheless, they have close to 15K followers as of this morning.

2. What are they tweeting?
I used Chrome's built-in translation feature and according to that, it's mostly stuff about how the US and South Korea are puppets and that we shouldn't take North Korea lightly.

3. Who is Jimmy Dushku?
A quick look at the basic stats provided to us (6,007 tweets...3 following...14,973 followers) is not surprising at first. But if you click through to see who the account is following, you get 2 Korean handles and @JimmyDushku...the hell?

Screenshots of his Twitter handle and a tweet he sent to North Korea can be found below.

So forget questions 1 and 2.  Who is Jimmy Dushku and why is North Korea following him of all people?  Is he a member of Anonymous?  a not-so-discreet North Korean spy?  According to his tweets, even Jimmy is baffled as to why North Korea is interested in him.

BUT @JimmyDushku, if you have any pull, please tell North Korea to chill out with the nuclear shit! :)

Did Keenan Cornelius Really Leave TLI?

Did Keenan Cornelius really leave Team Lloyd Irvin (TLI)?  About an hour ago, we saw this exchange on one of Lloyd Irvin's video posts:

It is Keenan's birthday today, so not sure if they're going along with this as a prank just to see what reactions they'd get.  It could also just be another one of Lloyd's master marketing gimmicks.

In any event, if Keenan is really leaving, the question on everyone's mind is "Where is Keenan Cornelius leaving TLI for??"  We don't really care why he left - there are a number of reasons why this top American brown belt might have left TLI.  We just want to know where he's going.

Atos?
Cobrinha?
Mendes Bros?
Mike Prudencio?
Ralph Gracie?

Only time will tell, but the jiu jitsu community is anxious to see how this unfolds.

-----UPDATED 2/28 1PM Pacific-----
Message from Keenan's Facebook account minutes ago:

I think some of you could care less about where I go, or what I do, and I get that, but a lot of people, including professional publications, have asked why I’ve left TLI. I want to make it clear what my reasoning is so there’s no more speculation, or worse the wrong reasons assumed:

Obviously, the circumstances surrounding TLI having been public so I don’t need to clarify a subject that many of you already understand and have been saturated with. In the last 6 weeks, article and blogs have spun out of control, testimonies given, and arguments and explanations made; clearly there are many views - much of which contradict each other.

What I believe and feel about these issues is personal and private, but let me make something understood, I would, and will never, endorse, or support wrongdoing whether it’s on the mat or off. And though I have made truly great friends through TLI, have had the best training of my life here, and the greatest success, its time for me to go. I can no longer be absolutely sure that this is the right environment for me under the current and enlightening circumstances.

Leaving a team is not easy - especially a team like TLI. I owe a great deal of gratitude for many things that Lloyd Irvin has done for me and the training I have had with TLI. And in my decision to leave, I in no way dismiss what was good about training in MD. So I want to thank TLI and Lloyd Irvin for that experience; it was the best I’ve had. However, not all things, or circumstances, are all good, and I had to weigh what was good for, against what was not, and proceed.

I have to to say that my family has been very supportive (everyone should have one of those), but ultimately leaving was my decision. Though their opinion was respected and appreciated; in the end, I came to this decision independent of them.

The future...where I’ll train...I don’t know. From what I’ve read, I think a lot of you know where I’m headed more that I do. But yeah, there’s a lot to think about and hopefully there’ll be a bit of time to do that. I know there is great jiu jitsu and training and good times ahead. My life is bjj, and I hope to be heading out to meet and train with some great athletes who feel the same. But I’ll tell you, I’m gonna make sure that where, how, and who I do that with, is practicing that life on the mat in a way that I can truly get behind.

Why Does Everyone in Russia Have Cameras in Their Car? (Dashboard Cam)

If you're like me and have been watching some of these videos of the meteor shower in Russia, you might be wondering: Why do all of these cars have cameras in them?

The short answer: to protect themselves and their wallets. From who?  From (1) shady drivers trying to extort money out of them and (2) crooked cops trying to give them a ticket for something that was not their fault.

I guess these are things you have to be concerned with as a driver in Russia.

Some of the best dashboard camera videos I'd seen prior to this meteor business:

[[truck crashes into gas station - how lucky is the guy pumping his gas??]]

[[plane crashing into a bridge/highway]]

[[guy's car gets crushed...and survives]]

Pia Gets Voted Off Idol - Idol Votes Off Their Winner!

what the what?!? bet they wish they didn't use that judges' save on Casey now.

American Idol Top 9 Predictions (Season 10)

Tough to say who's going to make up the new bottom 3, as 2 were eliminated last week. Using the previous Bottom 3's as our only data points, we have a pool of 4 to choose from:
- Stefano (did not make the initial list of finalists)
- Haley (used to be a regular in the bottom 3)
- Casey (surprisingly eliminated by America's vote...but brought back by the judges)
- Paul (was in the bottom 3 last week)

That said, I believe Casey and Paul fans have woken up and will keep the two of them out of the bottom 3 for a few weeks. I don't believe Haley and Stefano have enough fans, even if they've woken up, been riled up and are ready to vote their tails off. That leaves 1 open slot in the bottom 3 with 5 contestants to choose from (Pia, James, Lauren, Jacob and James). I put those 5 contestants' pictures in a bag and randomly selected 1 to go into the bottom 3...And the lucky winner is...Jacob.

The Bottom 3

Jacob, Haley, Stefano

America Votes Out...
Stefano
